Do I have to use the studio ?
The studio is there for your convenience so if you choose not to use it you shouldn’t have to! Just select the item of clothing from the online catalogue then contact us either through email or through the website specifying what you are looking for and we will get back to you with our suggestions and a mockup.
Also of you have any specific logos or images attach them and we will get to work.
How accurate is the preview I see?
Elitist Clothing’s technology lets you get a good look at how your item will actually turn out, but computers can't perfectly simulate the real world. First of all, every computer monitor displays colors a little differently, so the colors of your actual merchandise (both the colors of the blanks and the colors of your designs) may not match perfectly what you view on your screen. Secondly, embroidery and printing on non-paper surfaces are physical processes that are inherently imperfect, and slight variations from item to item inevitably exist. But please don't worry! Trust the names of the various colors you use on the site and trust that we will produce merchandise that looks great and doesn't disappoint! Also, please feel free to use the Comments feature to pass on any special requests or concerns to the production team.

Also before every order is processed someone from our production team will contact with you with any recommendations and suggested improvements before your final go ahead.
Clip art images, text and uploaded images may appear in the studio as slightly pixilated however printing and embroidery is created using the uploaded files therefore any computer imperfections will in no way affect the finished product.
How do I decide what size I would fit best?
For every item there is a small sizing chart which gives you sizes in relation to your measurements.
The best measurement for upper body clothing is on your chest size.
For example there will be a measurement box showing S – 63 M- 65 L – 67
This shows that if your chest measurement is 63cm then your recommended size will be a Small.
How do I get my measurement then?
Our garments are of the highest quality and our control team is committed to ensuring that every clothing item corresponds to our sizing guide.

Measurement tips:
- To accurately take measurements, have a dress makers tape, pen and notebook ready.
- Measure over under garments or lightly fitted clothing.
- If the garment is for yourself, ask someone to help measure you.
Women:
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the bust, breath normally, then HALVE the
result.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of waist and halve the result
Men:
- Chest: Measure loosely around the broadest part of the chest and halve the result.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of waist and halve the result.

- Stand upright and relaxed, keep the tape firm but not tight.
- Note the key measurements down to help select your size.
How do I choose between screen printing and Embroidery
Screen printing and embroidery are often limited to the materials of the garment. Embroidery can generally work with most garments however positions may be limited due to embroidery zipper positions in the garment.

Screen printing is also great for most garments though polar fleece and rough material tends to hemper quality therefore we tend to steer clear of screen printing fleece and cotton twill caps.

Screen printing is great for t shirts and garments that require a lot of graphic detail or large sized graphics and high volume. Screen printing prices are based on the number of colours on a side of the garment.
Heat transfers is another process of printing which we may use as it provides quality and cost effective results for smaller runs or graphics with colour gradients and high detail.

Embroidery tends to show a more professional look so we would recommend embroidery on uniforms.

Remember that both Embroidery and screen printing costs are based on economies of scale whereby the more items you order the smaller the per item cost. In many cases this can be quite significant due to the large one off setup costs.
How long will it take to receive my ordered items?
We try to ensure that all our clothing orders are fulfilled in the minimum amount of time possible. Once you have given the go ahead we should be able to get your order back to your door within 2 weeks, often much less for smaller orders.
What if I want different items of clothing with the same design?
This is easy, just design one with all your graphics etc and then tell us what other items you are wanting with the same design.
What if I want additional items after my initial order.
After your order has been processed your designs will remain on file so if you choose to have some re prints at a later stage you can bypass the costly setup fees.
Can I get samples of the apparel for sizing?
Absolutely. Any apparel you wish to see a sample of we will courier to you. As long as the sample is returned within 5 days, in the same condition, there is no charge for this service.
Why use Elitist Clothing for all your clothing requirements?
Elitist Clothings technology lets you create your own visual of how your item will turn out BEFORE it arrives at your door.
Before now the process of ordering custom decorated clothing has been time consuming and inefficient of your time with endless interact of quotes, descriptors, changes, and only to finally end up with an item nothing like what you invisaged.
Best thing about Elitist Clothing?...You create what YOU want.
How does screen printing work?
Screen printing is most commonly used for t-shirts, garments and other fabrics. Screen printing also used on all sorts of other substrates ranging from plastic to metal. Although small and intricate details can be captured, screen printing is ideally suited for bold and graphic designs.

Screen printing is the process of decorating t shirts, most t shirts you see around with images on them are either through screen print or heat transfer.
Screen printing is a printing technique particularly suited for garments requiring detail and colours. The heart of the process involves a fine mesh or screen that is tightly stretched around a rigid frame. The areas that are not to be printed are masked out on the screen. To create the print, the framed screen is positioned over the item to be printed along with a dollop of thick ink. A squeegee is then used to press the ink through the screen. The masked areas prevent ink from passing through, but the unmasked areas allow the ink to be imprinted on the material. The final step is to send the item on a conveyor belt through a heat-tunnel. This curing process ensures that the inks dry quickly so that they materials can be stacked or packaged. Properly cured inks will remain on the printed substrate even under harsh conditions.
If more colors are desired in the final design, the process is repeated with different screens. Therefore, a design that requires four different colors would require four different screens. The screens are usually placed on a rotary press which allows the different color prints to be properly aligned or registered with each other.
There are a variety of ways that the screen can be masked. The most straightforward way is to apply masking fluid directly on the screen. This technique is suitable for simple one or two color graphics but is ineffective for more complex prints. For multicolor jobs, screen-printers often use photosensitive emulsions to create the masked areas. First, the design is created on a clear piece of plastic film. Meanwhile, a photosensitive coating is applied to the entire surface of the screen and then dried. The film is placed on the prepared screen and they are exposed to bright light. After a period of time, the exposed areas can be washed off the screen with water which makes the screen ready to print.
When a screen-printer prints on darker items, a base print may be required to ensure that the colors maintain their vivacity. A base color (usually white) is applied wherever the final print is desired; it is then flash-cured and the subsequent colors are printed on top. This flash-curing technique adds another step to the process, but ensures brilliant prints on dark or even black materials.
The screen is tightly stretched around the frame often made out of wood; the blue emulsion is dried on the screen and serves as the mask. The squeegee is nothing more than a strip of rigid rubber mounted in a wooden handle. To begin the screen printing process, the operator positions the screen directly on top the item to be printed. Next, ink is to be applied to the area directly above the unmasked logo, and the squeegee is used to press the ink through to the substrate. As the operator firmly presses down with the squeegee, it is slid along the surface to ensure that ink penetrates through all areas of the unmasked logo. If additional colors are required, the process is repeated with additional screens. When finished, the screen is removed and the printed item is ready for curing.
What should I look for when choosing a shirt?
Poly/Cotton is harder wearing and does not shrink when washed in hot water or put in the tumble drier. It is also easier to iron.
Cotton is very comfortable to wear, however if you mainly work outdoors and have chosen a dark colour, it will fade quicker than poly/cotton. Cotton needs to be ironed frequently where as poly/cotton is lower maintenance.
What are the weights of the fabric?
GSM (grams per square meter) is a common description or the weight or thickness of the material used in the garment. For example 180gsm is a standard weight for a t-shirt and 150gsm would be a light weight t-shirt, often used for give-aways. 210gsm is a typical weight for a polo shirt though there are heavier polos which can go up to around 275gsm, which can be quite hot in summer.
Why is there a minimum quantity that I can order?
Screen printing most items are 8 minimum while Embroidery generally has a 10 item minimum.
These are the lowest possible minimums for us to create you garments at the best value as it is based on economies of scale, so therefore the more you order the less per item it costs.
Screen printing and embroidery require significant setup. These costs are factored into our all-in prices. As a result, ordering large quantities (and spreading out the setup costs over many pieces) is much more cost efficient than ordering small quantities.
How we work on your order?
You design your item to exactly how you want it, adding any comments for our production team, We review your item and reply to you which is a two day process with a firm quote and any design recommendations from our production team. You can then review quote and on your acceptance we begin production of your garment.
